About David L. Secrist
LPL Financial Advisor
David received his B. S. Degree in Industrial Engineering from West Virginia University and has earned credits within the MBA program at East Carolina University. He devoted 18 years working in the manufacturing industry in engineering, finance, and management. He has held positions as Team Leader of Capital Projects, Capital Finance Coordinator, and Management Coach. David joined LPL as a financial consultant in early 2007, choosing to apply his interest in finance and his abilities in working with people to a career in financial consulting.
David and his wife Susan moved to the Shenandoah Valley in 2000 to take a position at Merck. They live on a farm near Port Republic with their four children. Other than helping clients with their investment decisions, David loves nothing more than working on his farm with his family, farm animals, hay, tractors, etc. On most weekends throughout the summer David is either helping his son, Nick race motocross or helping his daughters, Lauren, Cate, and Makenna show hunter-jumper horses. Other hobbies include duck hunting and fishing on the North River which flows adjacent to the farm.
David currently serves on the Board at Blue Ridge Christian School, is active in the Young Life ministry, and is a small group leader and member of the West Side Baptist Church.
Mr. David L. Secrist holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations through LPL Financial, and Life, Annuity & Health, and Long-Term Care insurance licenses.
